Scope:

Inspection of 90 wind turbines with parts of spoiler (cooler top) was missing. We are also going to inspect an additional 250 turbines, to assess the reason why the parts came loose. The inspection includes bolts, loctite, sheaves and to get an overview of the situation and what might have caused the error on the missing part of the cooler top.

27 turbines: Vestas V117/4000-4200 (power 4 000 kW, diameter 117 m)

Planned production: 405 GWh

Total nominal power: 113,400 kW

Kvenndalsfjellet wind farm is located in Åfjord in Trøndelag county.

The wind farm is part of the Fosen Vind project, Europe’s largest onshore wind project. It consists of 27 turbines. Each turbine has a capacity of 4.2 MW, which gives a total installed capacity of 113.4 MW. Planned annual production is 405 GWh.Construction of the wind farm began in 2018, and completion is planned for 2020.
